Williamsville East's boys outdoor track team has many strong athletes coming of age this spring while the Williamsville South team is in rebuilding mode. The result was a lopsided 100-41 home win for East on Thursday, April 19.

East had five athletes score points in all four of their events.

Senior Andy Heim won the high jump, long jump and the 200-meters, and was third in the 100. Co-captain Greg French won the 110 hurdles, 400, triple jump, and anchored the winning 1600 relay. Simon Park was second in the 100 and 110 hurdles, third in the 200, and anchored the winning 400 relay team. Co-captain Zinan Cheng won the 100, was second in the long and triple jumps, and had the fastest split in the 400 relay. Sophomore Dan Egan was second in the 400 hurdles, third in the 110 hurdles and long jump, and ran very well in the victorious 400 relay.
