The Upstate Women's Baseball League is being formed. The league will be amateur in focus.

Any woman who is at least 18 years old by June 1 is eligible. Any woman fulfilling the age requirement should register, with their name, address, and date of birth by e-mailing maricci@hotmail.com.

Any woman who might be interested in umpiring in the program may also register. A training program will be provided for all who are interested.

The league is also looking for businesses to sponsor teams.

Hilbert College is seeking an individual to fulfill a graduate assistant position within the athletic department beginning August 1, 2007 and ending May 31, 2008.

The qualified person would work more specifically in the sports information department while also assisting with academic mentoring, game management, orientation, fundraising activities, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

The graduate assistant must be willing to work anywhere from 35 to 40 flexible hours per week including weekends and especially on Mondays. The position comes with a stipend and reimbursement toward graduate tuition as well as hands-on experience.
