DEC camps accepting applications

Assemblyman Jim Hayes, R-Amherst, is accepting applications from Amherst children, age 12 to 17, who would like to attend a free, one-week Department of Environmental Conservation camp in the Adirondack or Catskill mountains. One child will be chosen to attend the camp. To qualify, applicants must live in

Amherst, demonstrate financial need, be between the ages of 12 and 17 at the time they will attend the camp and show an interest in taking part in the program. For an application, call 634-1895. Completed applications must be returned to Hayes' office at 5555 Main St., Williamsville, N.Y. 14221 no later than May 1.
