Dann Lake Town Park in Amherst recently had 300 seedlings and bare-root trees planted by a group of Girl Scout, Boy Scout and Cub troops. Troops involved were Cub Scout Pack No. 279, Boy Scout Troop No. 451 and Girl Scout troops 786, 395, 1122, 1039, 82, 193, 26, 1189, 455 and 905. This was the sixth consecutive year for the project, which has resulted in the planting of more than 3,100 trees in the park. The event was financed by the Niagara Frontier Section of the Air and Waste Management Association.
