Motorcyclist charged with DWI

A man who allegedly crashed his motorcycle into a vehicle on Youngs Road Sunday has been charged with driving while intoxicated.

Kevin M. Macoff, 41, of Williamsville, faces DWI and crossing a double yellow line charges after he attempted to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone, police said.

According to Amherst police, Macoff was northbound on Youngs Road at Pino Verde at 4 p.m. when he tried to pass a vehicle driven by Carrie Silliman. She was making a left-hand turn and he drove into her, police said.

Silliman was not injured. Macoff was taken to Erie Community Medical Center and was listed in stable condition before being released on Monday.

According to police, Macoff refused to take an alcohol breath test.
