Richard S. Ewing and Nicole M. Heiss

Peggy and Al Heiss of Elma announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole M. Heiss, to Richard S. Ewing, son of Cheryl Ewing of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Richard Ewing of San Clemente, Calif.

Miss Heiss is a 1995 graduate of Nardin Academy and received a Bachelor of Science degree in business/ sports management in 2000 from Elon College in North Carolina. She received a master's degree in education from Canisius College in 2002. She is a middle school math teacher at St. Ann School in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Her fiance is a 1994 graduate of Windsor High School in Windsor, Conn. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 1999 from Boston College. He is a certified financial planner with H & R Block in North Palm Beach.

A June 2007 wedding is planned in Christ the King Chapel at Canisius College with a reception at Fox Valley Club in Lancaster.
