Ian Moeser, a sixth-grade student at Amherst Middle School, participated in the Buffalo Bisons Junior Sportswriter Camp held April 21 at Dunn Tire Park. He learned writing styles and interview techniques and used them to interview Buffalo Bisons outfielder Jason Cooper. Ian will have the opportunity to write a player profile on Cooper and have his interview featured in The Buffalo News as part of the Bisons' weekly ad.

Christ the King seventh-grade students recently participated in the St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's annual math contest. The team placed first in the small school division for the second consecutive year. Nicholas Antonaidis placed first. Jacob Foster, Brade Hopkins, Meghan Keating, Fallon Martin and Claire Sucharski were also on the team. Honorable mention trophies were won by Kate Edwards, Alise Jarmusz, Claire McMahon and Foster.
