STUDENT TOWN MEETING
Assemblyman Jim Hayes, R-Amherst, spoke to 100 fifth grade pupils at Casey Middle School on Friday about the importance of understanding how state and local government works. He also explained his role as a state assemblyman. The visit was coordinated by fifth grade teacher Annette Gervase who wanted to bring civic education to life for the pupils.
