Exploration continues at planetarium on April 23 The planetarium at Williamsville North High School 1595 Hopkins Road, will hold two public showings of "Endless Horizons" at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 23. The show explores man's fascination with exploration throughout the ages. It will also include a viewing of 3-D images of the sun just released by NASA's STEREO mission. The program includes a joint meeting with the Hamburg Natural History Society, managers of the Penn Dixie Paleontological site in Hamburg. Penn Dixie telescopes will be on-site. If weather permits, the public will be able to use the telescopes to view the skies. In the case of bad weather, attendees will learn about different types of telescopes. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m., before the planetarium shows. For more information on any of the public shows, contact planetarium director Mark Percy at Mpercy@williamsvillek12.org or visit the planetarium Web site at www. williamsvillek12. org/ planetarium. |
