Jantzi Test Prep session to be held April 26-29

Students preparing to take the May 5 SATs can prepare for the examination under the direction of Amherst resident Tim Jantzi.

Jantzi developed the course 20 years ago and has taught more than 35,000 students.

"The course is very kid-driven; kids send all their friends and bring them to class. That is unheard of for an SAT prep class," he said. "The students get a lot out of it. It's entertainment and education."

The course will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27, and from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, and it will conclude from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29 at the Amherst Pepsi Center, 1615 Amherst Manor Drive, across from the University at Buffalo's North Campus.

The cost is a one-time fee of $495, and students can repeat the course as many times as they want. Jantzi said there is a money-back guarantee that if a student attends every session and doesn't improve his or her score, then they don't pay for the course.

"A lot of parents call and say their child not only improved their SAT score but are more motivated in school," he said.
