The American Diabetes Association awarded a $414,000 research grant to University at Buffalo researcher Dr. Arin Bhattacharjee of Williamsville to study diabetic neuropathy, a condition that causes pain and numbness in the feet. The American Diabetes Association funded $46 million in research in 2006.
