Red Purse auction set for April 12

The Buffalo/Amherst Business and Professional Women will present a pay equity panel featuring employment relations professionals at its monthly dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at the Fairdale Restaurant, 672 Wehrle Drive.

The program includes a panel comprising a member of the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource Association and two employment discrimination attorneys. The focus will be on issues related to pay equity. Amy Jo Lauber, Buffalo/Amherst BPW member, will serve as moderator. One of the goals of BPW is to educate and heighten public awareness of pay equity issues.

An auction of more than 20 red purses and red luggage will be held, and women who attend the meeting are encouraged to carry red purses.
