A gem in the north, support the theater

I wonder if the people in Western New York realize what amenities we have here? I'm referring to the Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda.

This past March we had Love in Bloom, it was a vaudeville show with professional performers - local people who have spent most of their life perfecting craft.

Next came the Lawrence Welk Show. Can you imagine this show coming all the way, not to downtown Buffalo, but to "little Sheas" in North Tonawanda? You didn't even have to fly to Branson to see them. It was the same exceptional talent you see on television by the very same exceptionally talented people.

And finally, The Rat Pack. These four performers not only sounded like the people they were imitating, but they looked just like them. Marilyn Monroe was hysterical.

You say - why should I go? The price is half the cost of downtown, you don't have to drive far, and the best part is, you don't have to pay for parking. You can park right in front of the theater. What more do you want? I looked for you, where were you?

If we want to maintain this theater, and have these great shows come to town, we're going to have to support them.

We're going to have to have to attend these functions, or we're going to loose them. It's as simple as that.

It's a great night out. Better yet, patronize your local restaurants, either before the performance or after.
