RealtyUSA ranked 11th out of 500 U.S. brokers

RealtyUSA ranked No. 11 on the 2007 Real Trends 500 Report among the 500 largest brokers in the United States, based on closed transaction sides for 2006. RealtyUSA had 23,101 closed transaction sides in 2006.

In Western New York there are 16 offices, including the Amherst-Clarence office at 6000 Sheridan Drive, which is the merger of three locations. Local headquarters for RealtyUSA is at 910 Maple Road.

The report was released April 2.

"RealtyUSA has consistently moved up the list year after year," Merle L. Whitehead, president/CEO of RealtyUSA, said. "I am pleased and very proud of our company's success and give all the credit to our 2,000 agents."

Whitehead also noted that the No. 1 company on the list, NRT (Cendant), is a large publicly traded corporation, and the No. 2 company is HomeServices of America, which is owned by Warren Buffet.

"That leaves RealtyUSA in the top 10 largest brokers in the U.S., among some huge corporate players," he said.

Whitehead will attend the 2007 Real Trends Gathering of Eagles leadership conference May 2-4 in Denver, where the complete 2007 Real Trends 500 Report will be released at the conference.

RealtyUSA is the largest, independent real estate company in New York State, with 63 offices.
