Meetings The U.S. Small Business Administration, SCORE and Business First have teamed up to present the second annual Western New York Small Business Expo, Matchmaker and Small Business Awards Luncheon. The event will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 9 at the Buffalo Convention Center. Last year, more than 1,000 people participated in the activities of Small Business Day. BOCES hosts call to action on youth problems Community youth organizations in areas surrounding Buffalo are invited to send representatives to a collaborative forum targeting growing concerns among youth in Erie County. The course is titled "Call to Action: Moving from Problems to Solutions on Issues of Drugs, Alcohol and Violence that Affect Students." The event will take place from 6:45 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 at the Erie 1 BOCES Education Campus, 335 Harlem Road, West Seneca. Drivers insurance course offered by New York State A New York State-certified six-hour point and insurance reduction course is slated to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the Days Inn, 4345 Genesee St., Cheektowaga. The course will allow each applicant to receive 10 percent off his or her collision and liability auto insurance for three consecutive years.
