Retired U.S. Marine opens personal protection agency

Wo o l e y
Joseph E. Wooley, a retired U.S. Marine, recently opened Cuxite Global Protection.

Wooley brings to the agency his years of military experience in security and safety measures, which include three years with the Federal Protective Service, as well as worldwide assignments.

Most of the personal protection specialists assigned to Cuxite are former and current military and have years of hands-on experience protecting the safety of people, places and things.

"Whether your concerns are business, personal or related to school violence, terrorism or you just need to know if the person you just hired is who they say they are, Cuxite is the company to call," Wooley said.

His years of service also include specialized terrorism counter-measures training, along with being assigned to the Nuclear Weapons Security Force.

Although this sort of service is more commonly known and used in larger metropolitan areas such as New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Toronto, Dallas, Atlanta and Washington, D.C., research shows an increase in violent crimes in and around areas such as Western New York, and Cuxite provides assistance to law enforcement agencies and first responders.

Wooley said Cuxite assists with employment in WNY by actively seeking qualified military personnel returning from Iraq.

"Cuxite provides professional, confidential and discreet executive protection, background investigations, close proximity support, family/asset safety, event protection and an executive driver/ courier service," he said.
