Stand Advertising in Amherst has been selected by Niagara County Community College as advertising agency of record for a renewable one-year term. NCCC advertising had been handled in-house for the last five years. Stand will provide strategic development, plus print ad templates, and Web site and collateral design.

Anne E. Meyer of Eggertsville, research associate professor in the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences in the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, and director of the UB site of the National Science Foundation designated Industry/University Center for Biosurfaces, was elected chair of the Council of Societies of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering during the group's annual meeting held recently in Washington, D.C.

Barbara L. Henderson, Five Star Bank small business administrator and assistant vice president, has been named the Buffalo U.S. Small Business Administration District Office's Financial Services Champion of the Year. The bank has a locations in Amherst and Williamsville.
