Horseshoe club plans organizational meeting

The Getzville Crow's Nest Horseshoe Club's spring meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11 at the Crow's Nest restaurant on the corner of Campbell Boulevard and Dodge Road.

Activities for the coming season will be discussed and anyone interested in becoming a member is invited to attend the meeting.

The pitching format for the club is informal and each week's partnerships are drawn by chance, so players have a variety of partners and opponents throughout the season and are not penalized if he or she cannot make a meeting.

The first pitch is scheduled for 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2. Anyone who missed the spring organizational meeting can sign up then or on any Wednesday thereafter.

The club will then meet for 15 weeks, weather permitting, starting May 2 and the season will end with a picnic and a tournament.
