Resident performs in Theatre of Youth show

Tia Lee Piotrowski was among the cast of young performers in the Theatre of Youth's ongoing production of "The Giver."

A fourth-grader at Christ the King School in Amherst, Tia performed in the role of "Lily" in the show, an adaptation of the Newberry Award-winning science fiction novel, which ran last month at the Allendale Theatre in Buffalo.

Tia has been acting since she was 5, earning roles in a number of Lancaster Opera House shows, as well as several local commercials and industrial videos.

She also studies ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theater and voice at The Walh Performing Arts Center.
