Mary Jo Pera and Robert Singer

Christine and Joseph Pera of East Amherst announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Jo Pera, to Robert Singer, son of Barbara and Herbert Singer Jr. of Bonita Springs, Fla.

Miss Pera is a 1996 graduate of Williamsville East High School. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Geneseo State College in 2000 and her master's degree in reading from the University at Buffalo. She is a reading specialist.

Her fiance is a 1995 graduate of Garden City High School. He received his bachelor's degree in government from Hamilton College in 1999 and his juris doctor from the University at Buffalo Law School. He is a judge advocate for the U.S. Navy.

A June 2007 wedding is planned.
