Erie 1 BOCES Harkness Career & Technical Center, student were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society during a ceremony held at Maryvale High School on March 22. Being inducted from Amherst High School were Bradley Chiz, Kyle Dean, Nicole Jacobs, Oliver Miller and Erick Cox. Sweet Home students Jessica Burley and Jessica Anne Louttit, and Williamsville North students Geoffrey Stallman, Annika Laughlin, Adam Kramer, Gubinder Sran, and South High students Corey Taramasco, Lauren Hackett and Peter Burke.

Cathleen Roemer and Daniel Wieglas , freshman at Canisius College, were part of the mock trial team, under the advisement of Robert A. Klump, that took third place in the national pre-law mock trial competition held last month by the international law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. Both are Amherst residents.
