Stumpf's Level 8 earns trophies at invitational

The Level 8 team from Stumpf's Gymnastics Center sent its girls to Jamestown, N.Y., to compete in the Lucky Stars Invitational hosted by Stroups Gymnastics. The team rose to the challenge of the stiff competition, and each girl earned a trophy in all-around competition.
Chelsea Recor competed in the older age group and won third place all-around with a team-high 36.425. Recor also won silver on balance beam (9.475) and bronze on uneven bars (9.200).
Chelsea Zirna and Alex Sada tied in the all-around with a 34.750. Additionally, Zirna was fifth on vault (9.050), and Sada was sixth on floor exercise (9.200).
The younger age group was led by Mary Hamilton, who scored a 36.350 all-around and earned second place. Additionally, Hamilton struck gold on uneven bars with a 9.400 and was third on beam and fourth on vault and floor.
Audrey Mulhisen finished eighth all-around and won silver on beam with a 9.350. Emma Lasker was ninth all-around and fourth on uneven bars with an 8.950. Rachel Kistner earned a fifth place on the beam with an 8.700.
