Level 6 performs well at meet

Stumpf's Level 6 team gave a strong performance at the Lucky Stars Invitational in Jamestown, N.Y.
The team combined for 19 medals in the event finals and placed four girls on the all-around podium, including an all-around champion.
Shannon Martensen of the 10-11-year-olds had a fantastic meet, winning all-around by five hundredths of a point with a score of 37.350. Martensen also won gold on uneven bars (9.500), silver on balance beam (9.450) and bronze on floor exercise (9.250). Teammate Lily Szafranski gave another great performance, winning gold on vault (9.425) and floor (9.400) and silver on uneven bars (9.500). Her 37.325 finished second all-around. Michaela Stumpf finished ninth on vault (9.175), beam (9.100) and in all-around. Teammate Taylor Balser was sixth on vault (9.200).
Callie Flanagan competed in the 12-and-over division and finished the day with a silver medal on floor exercise (9.175), fifth place on uneven bars (9.200) and ninth all-around. Kristen Kelly won a medal on beam with a 9.100, and Ashley Materise returned from an injury and scored an 8.700 on vault.
