Stumpf's optional teams win first at Jamestown

The optional teams from Stumpf's Gymnastics Center won first-place honors at the Lucky Stars Invitational hosted by Stroups Gymnastics of Jamestown. Individually, the girls were also unbeatable, with three winning all-around titles and each girl placing in the all-around finals.
The team was led by Courtney Connors, who scored a 37.250 all-around score on her way to becoming the Level 10 all-around champion. Connors also swept the event finals, which were highlighted by a 9.600 on floor exercise. Kristina Arcury finished second all-around, as well as on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. She was third on vault.
Amanda Recor won silver on uneven bars, beam and floor and finished third all-around. Recor was also the silver medalist on vault with a 9.275.
The younger division of Level 9 was won by Kailyn Arcury, who had a 36.800 all-around score. Arcury also swept the event finals, earning in the nines on each event.
Teammate Erin Hamister won the silver on vault, uneven bars, beam and floor and was second all-around.
Melissa Blando was the all-around champion of her middle age group with a score of 34.800 and the gold medalist on vault, uneven bars and floor. Katie Kaiser tied Blando's all-around score to earn second place in her older age group. Additionally, Kaiser was the beam champion with a 9.300 and placed second on floor and third on uneven bars.
Alyssa Billittier was Stumpf's lone competitor for Level 7. Billittier won silver on beam with a 9.375, placed fourth on uneven bars and finished seventh all-around.
