Man denied chance to gamble, calls police

Friday, March 16
+ A Harlem Road restaurant employee called police after spotting a bag of marijuana hanging from a patron's coat pocket. The complainant also stated that it smelled like marijuana.
+ A motor vehicle hit and run was reported by a man who had owned the damaged car for just two days before it was struck.
+ A mailman was attacked by a dog on Brookdale Drive. The victim was transported to Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital for a bite on his face.
+ A woman driving on North Autumn Street complained that a basketball hoop blew over and struck her car, causing damage.
Saturday, March 17
+On Willow Ridge Drive someone reported two youths were halfway out of a truck and were throwing up and passing out. The truck was gone when police arrived.
+ A child called 911 and told the operator that her mom was sleeping and her dad was watching TV. The girl had been playing with the phone.
+ A neighbor dispute was reported on East Summerset Lane. A woman claimed that a suspect pushed her into a snowbank while she was shoveling snow.
Sunday, March 18
+ A house on Clearfield Drive had been egged.
+ Unauthorized use of a vehicle was reported on West Summerset Lane by a woman who said she hadn't seen her boyfriend or her vehicle since the day before. The man and the car returned. His return was delayed because he didn't want to drive intoxicated.
+ Police responded to a complaint on Lamont Drive that three teens were walking on the road, looking into cars. The suspects were gone, but police found an empty 12-pack in the snow.
Monday, March 19
+ On Chestnut Ridge Road someone reported having just watched a man in his 50s with glasses key a silver car that was parked next to the suspect's car.
+ Police were called about a follow-up to the February larceny of a purse. Reportedly one of the gift cards that had been in the purse was used at a toy store in Amherst.
+ On Niagara Falls Boulevard a woman was reportedly talking to herself and walking in and out of traffic. An employee of a gas station requested a welfare check on her.
+ A woman babysitting on Rolling Meadow reported that the basement was flooding with hot water because the hose to the washing machine broke, and she didn't know where to find the valves for the hot water.
+ Criminal mischief was reported on Callodine Avenue involving the resident's 15-year-old cousin. The teen had been allowed to stay there for the weekend but left with the complainant's phone and had punched a hole in the door and wall.
Tuesday, March 20
+ An intoxicated person driving a car drove up a lawn and hit a tree on Morningside Lane.
+ A woman on Maple Road called in a request for transportation after her son, who was supposed to pick her up, was in an accident.
+ A town resident reported receiving threats from the mother in- law.
Wednesday, March 21
+ A Hillcrest Drive resident reported to police that a man, claiming to be from National Fuel, came to the door requesting a gas bill. The complainant said he called National Fuel who stated they didn't have anyone going door to door.
+ Someone on Hopkins Road reported that two teens urinated on their car outside an after school program, and the complainant was concerned because the youths in the program witnessed the act.
+ "Hundreds" of kids were reportedly fighting behind Rite Aid on Hopkins Road, The group scattered prior to police arrival.
+ A Sargent Drive resident complained to police that a boat was parked on the street.
Thursday, March 22
+ A woman playing bingo on Wehrle Drive reported that she walked out without her purse and when she turned around to retrieve it the purse was gone.
+ A man complained to police that a Maple Road store refused to sell him lottery tickets because of his age. The man said he is of age and has an ID, and the store still wouldn't sell to him. Police advised the parties, and a store employee said the man should not return.
+ A robbery was reported on Main Street. A black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a reported shotgun hidden under his jacket, bought a pack of batteries and then allegedly told the clerk to give him all the money.
