A fundraiser for Clarence resident Laura Friend will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 30 at the Main-Transit Fire Hall, 6777 Main St., Williamsville. The cost to attend is $20 per person and the evening will include a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, dinner, door prizes and a live auction. Friend is a single-mom going through chemotherapy and additional surgeries and will be out of work for a prolonged period of time.
