Paula and James Jasinski of Lancaster announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie L. Jasinski, to Matthew J. Batt, son of Michele and Paul Batt of Snyder.

Miss Jasinski is a 1997 graduate of the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart. She received her bachelor's degree in history from Duquesne University in 2001 and her juris doctor and master of business administration degrees from the University at Buffalo in 2005. She is a corporate law associate with Jaeckle, Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP in Buffalo.

Her fiance is a 1995 graduate of Amherst High School. He received his bachelor's degree in government from Hamilton College in 1999 and his juris doctor degree from the University at Buffalo in 2005. He is an associate with the law firm of Roach, Brown, MacCarthy & Gruber, P.C. in Buffalo.

A December 2007 wedding is planned at St. Louis Church in Buffalo with a reception at the Park Country Club in Williamsville.
