.Why on earth would Amherst Supervisor Satish Mohan want to hand over all development decision making to people in downtown Buffalo at the Erie County Industrial Development Agency? Mohan should spend less time dismantling Amherst institutions and more time trying to make good decisions and actually doing work for the Town of Amherst. He's not exactly earning a reputation for being a hard worker or for getting any kind of good results. His reputation is more grand-standing and platitudes!

.Hey, taxpayers, it's about time we clean house starting with Williamsville Central School administration. I wonder what we pay these people in salary and then let's start with the cost of mandated pensions, benefits and an A++ health insurance plan. How many assistants to the assistants do we have anyway, and how much are we paying all of them? Let's start watching the school board meetings and attending them, because they are going to ask you to vote for things you may not want to do. Pay attention!

.I am over 80 years of age and I live alone. What in the world am I supposed to do with a 30-gallon capacity garbage tote? I probably won't even be able to move it!

.Last Saturday I witnessed a deliberate hit to a player during a pee wee house hockey game. It was a deliberate, cheap shot which sent another player to the hospital. With instances of poor sportsmanship behavior increasing in hockey, coaches need to be made accountable and board members need to get involved. Next time, there could be a more severe injury.

.To all those crying about having to use totes in Amherst, if they had rats in their yards from neighboring residences and business establishments, maybe they would stop whining. Most of us take care of our properties, but are penalized by others for this rodent problem. They couldn't come soon enough.

.To all residents in Dana Heights, I think it's about time we demand electric street lights. These so-called gas lights are only candlelight; they provide no light. If the town can spend $1.7 million on rat houses, let's put the rat houses on hold and put in electric lights in Dana Heights.

.I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income; I live alone. I don't need a 30-gallon tote. How am I going to drag it out there? I think the totes are ridiculous! If you use the right chemicals, you keep everything away.

.Who is responsible for the cleanup of the unsightly condition of downed trees and shrubbery at the southeast corner of Hopkins and Maple?
