Bruins beat White Sabres, 1-0

The Squirt Bruins played as a well-oiled machine on March 11 in a fearsome defensive battle with the White Sabres. The Bruins won 1-0.

The game was played with intensity and determination by both teams.

At 10:25 of the first period, Stevie Vukelic passed to Tommy Heyden who sent a pass to Frankie Bodami, who positioned himself to force the puck past White Sabres goalie Alex Jackson.

Adam Arsenault, Matt Lesinski, Luke Rehbaum, Hudson Milligan, Sarah Scolnick and Drew Goss were sharp on defense for the Bruins.

Causing havoc were the lines of Bill Christ, Tyler Lisicki, Joe Durkin and Ricky Bruno, Peter Muffoletto, Gianni Bordonaro who kept White Sabres goalie Alex Jackson on his heels.

Bruins goalie Jeremy Schwab was stellar between the pipes even in the face of three breakaways and an overwhelming number of shots. His exceptional performance bagged him a shutout.

Bodami's goal would be game winner.

Exceptional performances were shown by the White Sabres' Jamey Irish-Ryan, James Bassett, Joseph Philips, Justin Lamonto, Ethan Evenson, George Korn, Jim Roberto, Daniel Dirrigl, Dan Carosi, Samantha Johnson, Jonathon Utech, Chris Comtois, Alley Lillis and Jacob DiStasio.
