Scamridge Curve lives up to name

Friday, March 9
+ On Garden Parkway, a neighbor saw a heavyset female hit a stop sign with her vehicle and run away. The female then returned with a shovel, but was not there when police responded. The car was towed.
+ A woman was standing in the middle of North Ellicott Street, alone and screaming obscenities.
+ On Niagara Falls Boulevard, a woman reported that she left her purse on top of her vehicle when she left a store. When she realized what happened she went back to the site, but her purse wasn't there. Her identification, keys, debit cards and a cell phone were missing.
+ Police attempted to serve a warrant on Scamridge Curve. The suspect came to the door and then ran back into the house, locking himself in the basement. Police knew of the two doors to the basement and took the man into custody.
Saturday, March 10 + A motorist complained about a flat tire, concerned it might be connected to a harassment complaint filed last year. The flat tire was caused by a nail.
+ On Millersport Highway at Longmeadow, a motorist complained that things were falling out the back of a truck and hitting other vehicles. The complainant said he tried to get the driver's attention, but he was on a cell phone.
+ A complaint was called from Niagara Falls Boulevard about a man who was feeding his dog out of a Dumpster. Police did not find the man.
+ A North Brier Road resident called police about a opossum that was stuck under the complainant's car.
Sunday, March 11
+ On Sheridan Drive, a person complained that while her daughter was at a coffeehouse with the car, a boy jumped on the car, causing damage to it.
+ A person complained about 40 bicyclists that were on Tonawanda Creek Road and would not move to allow motorists to pass. He said when he did get past the group they screamed at him.
+ A bird was stuck in a hot water tank flue on Whispering Court.
Monday, March 12
+ On Maple Road, two males in their 40s stuffed their jackets with lobster tails. They were last seen leaving the store on foot, going toward Red Lobster.
+ A Brockmore Drive resident complained to police that 10 youths were playing hockey and going onto her front lawn. When she asked them to stop they reportedly yelled obscenities at her, and one threatened to expose his bottom to her.
+ A Main Street store employee complained that a man who was dressed in black and smelled bad, took a pair of boots and left on foot. The man was located and checked for a possible Buffalo warrant.
+ A Hunters Lane resident complained about a barking dog on Troy Del Way that was a constant problem. The owner said it was a new puppy that gets excited at the sight of other dogs and people.
Tuesday, March 13
+ On South Union Road, a neighbor called about a man and woman who were screaming and throwing things. There was no altercation; a woman fell in the shower and was yelling for help.
+ Two teens in a vehicle on Rosedale Boulevard were reportedly throwing fireworks out of the vehicle at passing motorists and people on bikes. The suspects were gone when police arrived.
+ A pregnant pit bull was reportedly running loose on Vine Lane.
Wednesday, March 14
+ On Main Street, a man reported he had $400 out of $700 taken out of his pant's pocket. The employee said the man seemed very confused.
+ A Transit Road store reported that a man went into a fitting room with his girlfriend, and when he was asked to leave, he started screaming profanities at the store employees.
+ A Berryman Drive resident reported that her garbage was stolen during the morning hours.
Thursday, March 15
+ On Harlem Road, a resident reported that a neighbor had threatened to beat up the complainant over a dead rat situation in the yard.
+ A customer at Radio Shack on Main Street complained that an employee pepper-sprayed her. The 16-year-old male suspect was taken to police headquarters.
+ A person who had been arrested for shoplifting was searched at police headquarters and found to have a crack pipe in his possession.
+ On John James Audubon Parkway, a motorist complained that an injured Canadian goose flew into the side of the car.
