Tutors needed to help adults with employability "Education makes possible a life of dignity and self-worth." These words of Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, are the driving force behind the Warde Center, where a team of retired teachers volunteer to offer instruction and support to adults seeking their high school equivalency certificates. The Warde Center, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy Regional community of Buffalo, is looking for more volunteer tutors to work with adults who want to develop skills to become self-sufficient and employable. The center is located on South Park Avenue near Hamburg Street in Buffalo. For more information, call 858-7548. | |||||
