Pee Wee White Sabres on playoff roll The Pee Wee White Sabres won its second game of the playoff series 4-0, and go into the last weekend of the playoffs with a nine-point margin. The game against the Red Wings was exciting and the Wings goalie, Jacob Griebner, played fantastic, but the White Sabres came screaming out of the gate and kept the shutout intact. Scoring standout Dylan Scinta scored the first White Sabres goal at the four-minute mark of the first period. The White Sabres' defensive crew of Kyle Zurak, Gabe Feurestein, Tyler Casselman, Danny DeMeester, and Brendan Mazurek were aggressive and stayed on the puck. The Red Wings stayed strong and had numerous chances, as they moved the puck down the ice, but White Sabres goalie Sean Martin was outstanding, and turned back every Red Wings shot. In the second period, Max Fenter got a beautiful goal, bringing the score to 2-0. Just a few minutes later, Scinta got his second of the game and the period ended 3-0 in favor of the White Sabres. Dom Cenelli, Blake Carson and Nick Carrubba were all over the ice for the White Sabres and kept the Red Wings defense back on its heels. Early in the third period, Scinta completed his hat trick with the assist to Fenter, bringing the score to 4-0 White Sabres. John Moore, Adam Russell, and Max Sherman kept the puck moving for the White Sabres and away from the Wings offense. White Sabres' coach Carrubba awarded the game stars to Scinta, Martin and Fenter. The White Sabres will meet the Rangers next Sunday. |
