Micron White Sabres start playoffs with a victory

The Micron White Sabres began the league playoffs on Sunday with a nice 4-3 win over the Blue Sabres.

Patrick Gilbert opened the scoring for the White Sabres with a pretty goal assisted by Zach Rehbaum. The Blue Sabres came back quickly with a nice goal from Dante Santora, assisted by Gianna Santora.

The White Sabres went ahead after Ben Siegel made it through Blue Sabre defenseman Eli Utz and Theodore Gogos and shot the puck in the bottom left corner, stunning Blue Sabre goalie Sal Farraunto.

Blue Sabre Alex Scarrozza tied it up again with a glove side goal assisted by Kellen Pulera.

White Sabre Zach Rehbaum put his team ahead again with a hard shot to the short side, assisted by C. J. Goss and Cameron Hogan. Santora tied it when the puck went through the five-hole, leaving White goalie Colin Branka shaking his head.

White Sabre Gabe Rapini was robbed from a goal when Farraunto caught it in his glove. White Sabres' T. J. Conway, Colin Deakin, Rylan Stamn and Jack Gilbert made some great plays.

Patrick Gilbert scored the game winner for the White Sabres.

Branka made some great saves that helped his team advance.
