Stumpf's compulsory levels dominate Patriot's Cup

The Level 5 and 6 girls' teams from Stumpf's Gymnastics Center dominated at the Patriot's Cup. Stumpf's Gymnastics Center recently hosted the Patriot's Cup in Williamsville and its compulsory level girls were unstoppable, winning the all-around titles in both levels and all age groups.

The Level 5 girls were led by Lacey Woite, who scored an unprecedented 37.325 all-around to earn her first all-around title in the 7-9 year old division. Woite was also the uneven bars champion with a career-high 9.55 and vault champion with a 9.475.

Miranda Roberson was second all-around with a personal best 36.25. Roberson and teammate Katie Uba tied as floor exercise champions after each gymnast executed a polished and perky floor routine that earned a 9.450. Uba was also fourth in the all-around. Allison Scumaci's graceful balance beam routine earned a 9.150 and was awarded first place. Scumaci was also third in all-around. Mackenzie Donner's solid vault earned a personal best 9.350 and second place in the division. Rebecca Reinhardt executed her best uneven bars routine of the season with a 9.00 and was awarded third place. Emily Schulenberg tied for fifth on the beam.

Kaily Martens repeated as all-around champion in the 10-year old division with a 35.950. Martens also came in first on vault, floor and uneven bars with a personal best 9.30. Samantha Maniccia was second all-around with a 33.15 as well as on vault and uneven bars.

Madeline Meyer had her best meet of the season, scoring a 33.70 all-around on her way to becoming champion of the 11-year olds. Meyer was also uneven bars champion with an 8.30.

Rachel Kania was second all-around with a 33.60. Furthermore, Kania doubled as the vault and floor exercise champion with solid routines. Teammate Jackie Schachtner swept the event finals and was crowned champion of the 12 and over division with a 32.30 all-around score.

The Level 5 team was coached by Denise Wiesner and Vicki Kaiser.

The Level 6 team was led by Shannon Martinsen, whose team-high 37.550 earned first place in the 10-11 year old division. Martinsen was also uneven bars (9.40), beam (9.50) and floor champion (9.525). Lily Szfranski was second all-around with a score of 37.15. Szfranski was also second on uneven bars, beam and floor. Teammate Taylor Balser was third all-around with a score of 35.825. Balser's performance was highlighted by a meet-high 9.70 on vault, which tied a personal best, and earned first place. Michaela Stumpf was sixth all-around and tied for fourth place on uneven bars with an 8.00.

Callie Flanagan swept the event finals and won the 12 and over division with a 36.60. Her highest score came on floor where her beautifully executed routine earned a 9.325. Kristen Kelly was second in all-around, as well as on each event, with her best score coming on vault. Jenna Barton, in her first meet at Stumpf's, was third all-around with her best event coming on the beam. Leah Recor coached the Level 6 girls.
