Charles E. Powers III, 56, of Amherst, manager of Auto Zone, died Sunday, March 11, 2007.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Powers had a long career in the auto parts industry and was a manager of Auto Zone for many years.
He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Tonawanda Sportsmen Club and of Pendleton Center United Methodist Church. He was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast.
Mr. Powers is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Barbara Dearstyne; two daughters, Alissa and Caitlin; his mother, Nancy Powers; three brothers, James, Brad and Ronald; and two sisters, Kathleen Timan and Judith Metzler.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 15 at Dengler & Roberts Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Road, East Amherst.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church.
