Zella P. Shattuck, Red Cross volunteer Zella P. Shattuck, 98, of Williamsville and formerly of Syracuse, a Red Cross volunteer, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. A native of South Butler and Cato, N.Y., she was a graduate of Central High School in Syracuse and lived most of her life in Syracuse before moving to Williamsville in 1994. Mrs. Shattuck worked at Crouse Hinds Company and Continental Can Company as a comptometer operator before her marriage to J. Howard Shattuck. She was a volunteer with the Red Cross Blood Mobiles for 15 years and worked as a team with her husband at the Red Cross following his retirement. Her husband of 52 years died in 1992. Mrs. Shattuck is survived by a son, Michael of Sacramento, Calif.; a daughter, Susan Conklin of Lockport, N.Y.; a sister, Ruth Sainsbury of Los Altos Hills, Calif; and three grandchildren. Services were held in Syracuse. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 636 S.
