Volunteers sought for legislator Weinstein's office

Erie County Legislator Dr. Barry Weinstein, R-15th District, is seeking volunteers with strong computer skills to assist in his district office at 5500 Main St. in the Village of Williamsville.

"Since the 2005 budget crisis, we lost 50 percent of our staff and all of our district office operating budget," he said. "We have a number of constituent-friendly services that have been hampered by this. Additionally, by only having one staff member both here and downtown, there is no one to cover for vacations."

Weinstein's office is looking for individuals who could serve several hours a week and have a familiarity with Word, Excel and various office duties. For information, e-mail drbar ry15@erie.gov or call 633-0617.
