Philip Casilio of Amherst was appointed to the Castellani Art Museum's Advisory Council. He a senior member and broker associate with Casilio Companies. Casilio has an international exhibit in his portfolio, and works in abstraction, surrealism and pop art. He is also involved in SABAH, Gliding Stars, and East Rotary.

Sanjay Chadha of East Amherst, vice president of Ambulatory and Transplant Services at Erie County Medical Center Corporation, has been selected to participate in the 2007 Class of Leadership Buffalo, which unites and develops leaders from diverse backgrounds.

Jian Fang of Amherst has joined Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute Inc. as a research associate. He is working in Dr. Daniel Gewirth's lab, which is focused on hsp90 chaperones, androgen and nuclear hormone receptors. He worked as a research assistant at Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China.

J. Patrick Greenwald of Williamsville has been named director of principal gifts for Canisius College. Fundraising efforts will focus on significant donors. This position is a reflection of the key role he played in the success of the Imagine Canisius capital campaign that raised $39 million.

Paul Maurer of East Amherst, general sales manager of 97 Rock and 104.1, part of Citadel Broadcasting, was honored with a Manager of-the Year award for the Buffalo Market for 2006. The award is voted on by the company's employees. He is a 21-year veteran of the company.

Ann Medinac, a residential interior designer, of Ann Medinac Interiors in Williamsville, was awarded the WNY Leadership Support Team 2006 Regional Leader of the Year by BNI Business Network International. She serves on the board of directors for the IDA Interior Design Association of WNY.

Dr. Emme Nylander of Amherst has joined the physician team at Lifetime Health Medical Group. She will see obstetrics and gynecology patients at the Amherst University, Empire Drive and William E. Mosher health centers. Her residency was at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital.

Helen Osgood of Amherst has been named a partner at Damon & Morey LLP. She practices in the firm's real estate and banking department, where she focuses her practice in the areas of commercial lending and credit restructuring. She received her juris doctor degree from UB's School of Law.

Joseph M. Hanna of Amherst, an associate with Goldberg Segalla LLP, was recently accepted into Leadership Buffalo's 2007 Rising Leaders class. He is a member of the Young Lawyers Committees of the Defense Research Institute, the American Bar Association, and the NYS Bar Association.

Shaun M. Bowman of Amherst has joined Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute, Inc., as a postdoctoral research fellow. He is working in Dr. Barnali (Neel) Chaudhuri's lab. Bowman has worked as a postdoctoral fellow and a research assistant at UB, where he earned his Ph.D. in biological sciences.

Paul Mendola of Amherst has been named executive vice president, chief credit officer for Waterford Village Bank. He was a manager of commercial real estate lending for a Buffalo area bank and has 20 years of senior-level experience in the commercial real estate industry.

Virginia C. McEldowney of Williamsville has been named, by Damon & Morey LLP, as vice president of the Healthcare Executive Forum of WNY, a nonprofit, professional organization. She is special counsel for Damon & Morey, where she is a member of the Business and Corporate Department and the Health Care Group.
