Revolution scares Nightmare, remains unbeaten The Amherst Revolution U-12 indoor girls soccer team (7-0) continued its winning ways by defeating the North Town Nightmare, 4-2, on Saturday afternoon. North Town struck first for an early 1-0 lead. Goaltender Sarah Eichhorn made some dazzling saves to keep the Revolution from falling further behind. Eichhorn played the entire game as goalie, doing a superb job. Carissima Cutrona scored the first Revolution goal on a left foot chip shot that went over the Nightmare goalie's head. Cutrona scored again, giving the Revolution a lead it wouldn't relinquish. Kaitlin Walsh scored the third Revolution goal with assists going to Nika Berrafato, whose cross pass to Angela Sobotka was again crossed to Walsh, whose perfect shot went in. In the second half, Margaux Gill booted a powerful kick from about 30 feet from the Nightmare goal. Morgaine Huston, Annie Garcia, Katie Cohen, Shannon Doherty, Alicia Girard, and Alyssa Cartwright showed great ball control. |
