Gleason's Gymnastics
Farrell scores career high on floor exercise

The Niagara teams from Gleason's Gymnastics competed in the Rochester Classic Invitational held at Rochester Institute of Technology on Feb. 24 and 25.

In the senior division, Jamie Farrell of Amherst earned a career high score of 9.275 on floor exercise and placed third in the event. Farrell is a senior at Sweet Home High School.

In the junior division, Casey Middle School seventh grader Lily Jagodzinski was seventh on floor with a score of 9.0.

For the Level 7 team, Sweet Home Middle School sixth grader Jill Daddario had a fantastic meet, capturing fifth place all-around in the senior division with a 37.05 against top New York State gymnasts. She scored consistently on all events, scoring 9.25 on bars, beam, and floor and 9.3 on vault. Her beam score gave her third place.

The Level 4 team had an excellent meet, placing second in the team competition with a score of 186.75. Willow Ridge Elementary fifth grader Megan Aronica competed in the senior division. Her strongest event was beam, where she earned 9.15, good for third place out of over 30 girls. She also placed ninth on bars with a score of 9.1 and 14th all-around with a total score of 35.800.

Competing in the child division was St. Christopher School second grader Abigail DeCicco. De- Cicco looked sharp on floor where she earned 9.175 for eighth place. She also was strong on the vault, scoring an 8.7.
