Mary T. Betz, 80, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, in Oakwood Health Care Facility, in Williamsville.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, she attended Villa Maria College. Mrs. Betz taught in the Pittsburgh School District.

She was an active member at St. Gregory the Great Church as a Eucharistic minister and Catholic Charities team leader. She also belonged to the Millard Fillmore Hospital Volunteers, was on numerous Parent Teacher Associations, the Junior League of Pittsburgh and enjoyed the theater.

Her husband Gregory W. died in March 2000.

Mrs. Betz is survived by three daughters, Mary Kay Betz, RPA-C, Marcella Parsons and Susan Lankes; and three brothers, William, John, and Rev. Thomas Tunney, C.S.Sp.

A Mass of a Christian Burial was held Monday, March 5 from St. Gregory the Great Church following prayers in Amigone Funeral Home.
