Joslyn D. Banas and Lauren M. Scagni

Linda and Robert Scagni of East Longmeadow, Mass., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren M. Scagni, to Joslyn D. Banas, son of Sharon and Douglas Banas of North Tonawanda.

Miss Scagni is a 1996 graduate of East Longmeadow High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Villanova University in 2000 and her master's degree in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of Connecticut. She is a quality engineer with Hamilton Sundstrand of Connecticut.

Her fiance is a 1996 graduate of Sweet Home High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Geneseo State College in 2000, graduating summa cum laude, and his master's degree in business administration from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. He is a financial analyst with Hamilton Sundstrand.

A September 2007 wedding is planned.
