Dr. Brian T. Zunner, DDS, and his assistant Millie Staley recently participated in the third annual "Give Kids a Smile" day sponsored by the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. They assisted in offering underprivileged children dental hygiene, restorations and preventative services free of charge. His practice is on Evans Street in Williamsville.

BNI Business Makers will hold its weekly meeting from 7 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15. Steve Colley of A Call Away Services will speak about how home maintenance can prevent more serious problems. Erie Community College is offering "Pathways to Success" a free, pre-collegiate studies program during the day and evening at ECC North, 6205 Main St. Classes are available for high school graduates, GED qualifiers and adult learners. The program is designed to teach college reading/ writing, math concepts, and basic computer skills. Most classes meet two days a week, 3 hours per class for 10 weeks. Classes will begin in May. The law firm of Harter Secrest & Emery LLP has named John G. Horn of Williamsville a partner of the firm. He is a litigation attorney in the firm's Buffalo office. In 2004, John was honored as New York's Young Lawyer of the Year by the State Bar Association, and in 2002 he received the local U.S. District Court's Pro Bono Special Service Award. He joined the firm in 2000 after serving as law clerk to Senior U.S. District Judge John T. Elfvin.
