Take a Trip with Amherst Senior Travel Club

The Amherst Senior Travel Club, an organization of the Amherst Center for Senior Services, is planning two getaways in the next few months.

"Broadway Bound New York City" is a four-day, three-night trip to the Big Apple, April 27 through 30.

Activities will include a ride to the observation deck of the Empire State Building, tour of NBC studios, Broadway matinee, three-hour harbor cruise, and time for shopping and sightseeing on your own. Price per person, double occupancy, is $615.

"Canadian Rockies and Calgary Stampede" will take you to Alberta, Canada, July 6 through 13. Travelers will visit the city of Calgary, see the Rodeo and Chuckwagon Races and travel to Lake Louise in Banff National Park. The price of $1,799, double occupancy.

Membership in the Amherst Senior Travel Club is open to all members of the Amherst Center for Senior Services. Any Town of Amherst resident age 55 and up, or spouse of that resident, may join the Amherst Senior Center for a lifetime membership fee of $25.

Annual Travel Club membership is $7 for an individual and $10 for a couple. All Senior Center members are invited to Travel Club meetings, which are held at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at the center, located at 370 John James Audubon Parkway.
