Joseph Dephtereos and Laura James

Nancy and DeWayne James of Williamsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura James, to Joseph Dephtereos, son of Maureen and Joseph Dephtereos of Watertown, N.Y.

Miss James is a 1998 graduate of Clarence High School. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Fredonia State College in 2002. She is a fourth-grade teacher.

Her fiance is a 1998 graduate of Watertown High School. He received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003. He is an engineer.

A June 2007 wedding is planned.
