Summer Day Camp registration open through March 9

The Amherst Youth Board will accept applications for its Summer Day Camp programs through March 9.

Registration is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the the Amherst Youth Board office, 4255 Harlem Road. Evening registration is held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1 and Tuesday, March 6.

Programs are held for youths ages 5-11 at the Amherst Youth and Family Center at the Pepsi Center; the Harlem Road Community Center; and the Independent Health Youth and Family Center, 5005 Sheridan Drive.

A Summer Explorers Camp Program for children ages 12-14 will also be offered at the Clearfield Youth Center, 730 Hopkins Road.

Camps are covered through Independent Health's Flexfit Family program. Applicants must bring their current 1040 tax form for proof of income. There is a $15 registration fee for Amherst residents and $25 for nonresidents.
