Stumpf boys compete in Florida

The Level 6-10 teams from Stumpf's Gymnastics recently competed in the Daytona Beach Open in Florida's Ocean Center. Members of the team, pictured from left, are: Aaron Benson, Cameron Collins, coach Dan Molnar, and Michael Wozniak.
The Level 6-10 teams from Stumpf's Gymnastics Center competed in the Daytona Beach Open in Florida's Ocean Center. The three-day-event was attended by more than 1200 gymnasts from across the United States.

The Level 6 team was represented by Akron's Mack Lasker and Connor Story of Clarence. Lasker competed in the younger division where he finished sixth all-around with a 50.475. In the event finals, Lasker was fifth on pommel horse, sixth on floor exercise and seventh on rings and high bar. Story was 11th in the older division where he also earned sixth on vault, seventh on high bar and eighth on pommel horse.

Clarence's Cameron Collins competed for Level 8 where he was fifth all-around as well as on pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar. He was fourth on floor exercise.

The Level 9 team of Aaron Benson and Michael Wozniak gave a solid performance and earned first place team honors. Cheektowaga's Benson led the team, earning fourth place in the stiff all-around competition. Additionally, Benson was third on floor exercise, vault and high bar. Wozniak, of Clarence, was eighth all-around, including fifth on floor exercise and sixth on vault. Teammate Cody Stumpf of Williamsville made the trip, but was unable to compete due to illness. All boys teams are coached by Dan Molnar.
