I'm sure they have enough junior firemen to go around with one or two to each hydrant and shovel it out. This would save some of the senior citizens the backache of trying to shovel. .When is Bill Kindel going to take responsibility for his own actions instead of blaming Satish Mohan for everything? I hope he doesn't get re-elected. .A word of caution to Williamsville taxpayers: the smug spring announcements of no tax increase have proven to be untrue. Their recent announcements do not mention how, in less than a decade, the school budget has reached beyond $100 million and is aiming at $150 million. The average salaries of teachers and administrators are beyond reason. Current parents, although well-intentioned, are gullible and naive, and all of us are paying for more than we should. Stop this Rolls Royce! Stop the sham! .He may call it a pre-endorsement meeting at his home, but it's just Mohan meeting behind closed doors with other party bosses conducting politics as usual. Wake up, Amherst, and check your tax bills. My town tax went up 13 percent, and I attribute it directly to Mohan's inability to work with others to get the job done. .I just received an official notice from the Amherst Building Department that I had to clear my sidewalk of snow and ice within 24 hours. I have no objection to this, and I have since shoveled my sidewalk. I do object to the fact that the town appears not to be subject to this law. I drove past the Clearfield Library and rec center, and neither sidewalk was cleared of snow, and because of the snow drifts, both were impassable. .I'm going to miss Bill Kindel in November and his constant shuffling of papers in the televised board meetings, but I think that six terms is enough. It seems to be time for change, so adios, Bill. |
