Amherst Middle School sixth grade teacher Nathan E. Phillips, was awarded a $1,000 Target Field Trip Grant, designed to help bring learning to life for students. Phillips was selected from more than 16,000 applicants. He plans to use the grant to take the sixth grade students to the Greater Buffalo Youth Ballet's presentation of "Firebird" on March 8 at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts.
