Deaths

BARRETT, Dorothy A. (nee Magyar) of Amherst, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007; wife of Martin J.; mother of Martin of Highland, Calif., and Rose Mary Keser; sister of Irene Capizzi and Margaret Simpson; also survived by seven grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 13 from (Tonawanda Chapel) Amigone Funeral Home and St. Christopher's Church.

MAHON, Richard D. of Amherst, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007; husband of Gloria J.; father of Richard A. and Brian L.; brother of Patricia Schwiekart; also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation.

SHERO, Lina E. of Eggertsville, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007; wife of the late George Shero; mother of Elaine Herman, Kathryn Shero and Dr. James Shero; sister of Laurel Gassman; survived by four grandchildren. Lina was a member of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Eden Central High School and Chowns School of Business. Services were held Monday, Feb. 12 at Harry A. Wedekindt Funeral Home.

TICKNER, Virginia (nee Maeder) of Amherst, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 in Elderwood Health Care at Heathwood; wife of the late Rev. Leon of Harris Hill United Methodist Church; and mother of Elaine A. De Grood of Stratford, Conn. Services were held Monday, Feb. 12 from (Harris Hill Chapel) Amigone Funeral Home.
